Up on a Limb. Everest 2019: The Adaptive Grand Slam. This film made the Official Selection for the Kendal Mountain Festival 2019 and follows two disabled veterans as they attempt to climb Mount Everest in the busiest season yet. Tom McShane directed the film alongside Martin Hewitt who founded the Adaptive Grand Slam, and edited and produced by Floating Harbour Films. Everest in the Alps: The Second Ascent 2018. This epic challenge involved teams ski touring the height of Everest over four days in Verbier, Switzerland. Tom produced, directed, operated the drone and shot the stills for the charity event raising money for the Brain Tumour Charity.

Jägermeister Ice Cold Gig 2017, short version. UK band, Modestep perform a 'Great Gig in the Sky' by playing whilst suspended in a spacenet rigged high up in the mountains above Queenstown, New Zealand. Tom planned, produced, directed and photographed the latest in the series of record breaking gigs. The video has been nominated for Best Music Brand Partnership for third year in a row at the MusicWeek Awards. The video was released as a commercial advert in cinemas across the UK. Jägermeister Ice Cold Gig 2016, documentary version. First ever continuous air to sea to land gig, filmed in Northern Norway. Tom McShane planned, produced and directed the film and was also the stills photographer. The gig was nominated for the Best Music Brand Partnership in the Music Week Awards. 

Jägermeister Ice Cold Gig 2015, short version. ‘Gigloo’. A gig performed on the World’s biggest Igloo. Tom planned, photographed, produced and directed the film. The gig was nominated for the Best Music Brand Partnership in the Music Week Awards.

Jägermeister Ice Cold Gig 2014, documentary version. The first ever gig to be performed on a moving iceberg. Tom planned, photographed, produced and directed the film. This was also shown on Skuzz TV, and was awarded a Guinness World Record. Tom was nominated as Sound Engineer of the Year, at the Pro Sound Awards.

Secret Compass promo video. Tom McShane self-shot and directed, edited, photographed and flew the drone for this short online video.

Walking the Nile with Levison Wood. Tom was the location manager, expedition leader and stills photographer, for this hugely successful world first expedition shot for Channel 4 and Animal Planet. Nominated Best Factual Entertainment Show in Broadcast Awards. Tom was also shortlisted in the finals of the International Travel Photographer of the Year. 

Walking the Himalayas with Levison Wood. Follow on series for Channel 4 and Discovery Channel. Tom, again was the location manager, expedition leader and stills photographer, as well as flying the drone for latter half of the expedition.

Earth: A New Wild. Episode: Water. Filmed in Uzbekistan for this secret, undercover documentary on the loss of the Aral Sea, for PBS and National Geographic. Tom was the location manager and stills photographer. Achieving the Best Series at the Wildscreen Awards and Best Humanitarian Interaction at the International Wildlife Film Festival. Tom was awarded the Runner-up in the Wanderlust Travel Photographer of the Year, Professional Portfolio category.

Nespresso - South Sudan. A short online film narrated by George Clooney. Tom was the High Risk Safety Consultant, Location Manager, and photographer.
